Melissa Sandino

Melissa Sandino is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s Degree from Albizu University. Melissa’s warm and genuine personality allows her to approach therapy with empathy and openness which fosters an environment of safety, trust, and non-judgment. With expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Art therapy, Mindfulness, and Play therapy; she has successfully worked with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds struggling with a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting difficulties, behavioral difficulties, and self-esteem struggles. She believes in the power of collaboration, working alongside her clients to identify the unique needs of each individual she works with. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in creative pursuits. These personal interests influence her therapeutic approach, as she believes in the healing power of nature, self-reflection, and self-expression. With her expertise and compassionate presence, she empowers her clients to overcome obstacles, discover their inner strength, and lead fulfilling lives.
